Rococo Revival Gold Gilded Antique Mirror with Roses
Rare rococo revival gold gilded antique mirror with roses.
Louis XV style
The frame is ornate with scrolls, leaves and roses. The candle cups are shell like and are placed on each side of the beveled outer mirrored panes.
The mirror utilizes a triptych-style layout, that features a narrow, beaded central mirror pane flanked by two wider, shaped mirror sections.
The frame is heavily embellished with a floral design, including a prominent flower crest at the top and smaller roses along the base.
Estimated Year: Circa 1880–1920. During this era, the Rococo Revival style was popular for formal parlors and bedrooms. The patination and style of the gilding suggest it is either an authentic late-Victorian antique or a high-quality early 20th-century reproduction
