Pittsboro is a small town in Chatham County, North Carolina currently experiencing growth.  It is near Raleigh/Durham and Chapel Hill but offers a quieter, slower paced creative community. 

When not choosing a hobby farm or home with acreage...folks are choosing the newer development, Chatham Park that offers walkable neighborhoods and charming architecture.

Now don't expect grand shopping malls (yet).  Instead you will find a town with small independent shops and entrepreneurs on a local level.  The side mural on the local used bookstore, Circle City Books, is one of my favorites! 

Buying a home usually means you need "new" pieces of furniture.  Sometimes you leave everything behind and start anew.  Maybe the new home is smaller or bigger than the previous one. Or maybe you're a brand new first time buyer..congratulations to you!

One of the best and quickest (although I'm not fond of that work in home decor) ways to add charm and character to your new space is with vintage/antique furniture or vintage/antique decor.  

Warm woods with patina or aged brass are just two of the ways we like to create a home space with vintage.  

Not sure what to buy?  Look for pieces that have aged well or have a story that resonates with you.  I recommend looking for 1-2 strong pieces initially...items that you fall in love with immediately. These are not pieces you're going to sell on Marketplace in 2-3 years.  These are the ones you see yourself living with for a long time, maybe even inherited through the family.  The important thing to remember is to choose what you love...that's the start of a beautiful home with soul.

In previous years I have owned 7 stores!  I know!!  I decided to make a change in 2025 to my business and gave up my physical brick and mortar to allow more time for me to pursue other ventures.  Currently we have a booth housed inside Reclamation located at 674 West St. Pittsboro, NC (first booth on the left when you walk in) and an online shop with inventory that can be shipped or picked up in Pittsboro.  We can arrange delivery if you need.
